Ireena v/d Veldstraat
As a foal, Ireena received a 1st premie and was declared Ster predicate in 2005. She had an 8 for breed type, a 7 for stature, a 6.5 for legwork, a 6.5 for her walk and a 7 for her trot. In 2005, she was 1.59m high, now she is 1.61m. Her inbreeding coefficient is only 0.78% (!!) and she has a low affiliation percentage. Moreover, Ireena has given birth to a couple of foals from Wikke 404 Sports – a stud and a mare from the Champion Haitse 425.
Her father is 1st premie stud Nanning 374 son of Teunis 332 x Feitse 293 Preferent x Oege Preferent. Nanning’s mother is Ster+Preferent, his grandmother is Model+Preferent x Model+Preferent x Model+Preferent. In combination with Ireena’s motherline, namely Ster, Ster+Preferent*4 and Ster+ almost Double Preferent, particularly 7 Ster children, she has been bred very interestingly. This is only being reinforced by the old bloodline of her mother’s father: Ewoud x Doede x Tiede!
She originates from Stam line 60 and a long story has been written about her grandmother Beatriece in the Mare stam lines of the Friesian horse. It mentions amongst others that she was very fertile, gave birth to many good offspring including 7 Ster children (only 1 missing for Double Preferent)!!
Beatriece was more modern with less mass than the others and with exceptional strong hind legs. During the measurements in 1961, she was 1.60m and became a Ster. She received the following description: rich front quarters, best withers and good dry legs. Another nice quote is: for the schudder it went a lot faster than her father with trigger and schudder, Beatrice wanted to work that hard.
Last but not least, we can announce that Ireena’s youngest offspring, Woppij van Visser received the Ster 2nd premie predicate on 10 July 2010. Congratulations, girl!
